Registration
*Cool Planet presently does not require registration for purchases from our site. 

Upon registering with your email address, password, and challenge question, registration gives you the following options:

• You can reset lost passwords.
• You can (optionally) enter their shipping and payment information once, and our site will remember it for future purchases. (Saving you time during the checkout process).
• You can save several shipping addresses and payment methods with your registration, and you can view and edit that information as needed.
• You can view your previous orders.
• You can receive automatic coupons as they come available from our store.

If you decide not to register you still have the option of receiving email notifications of specials and other “green friendly” information from Cool Planet, during the checkout process by clicking the 'opt-in' box.

Order Processing
When products are purchased from our website, we request certain personally identifiable information from you on our order form. You must provide contact information (such as name, email, billing and shipping address) and financial information (such as credit card number and expiration date) when paying by credit card through Cool Planet.

This information is used for billing purposes and to fill and ship your order(s). If we have trouble processing an order, then this information is used to contact you. This information is not used for any other purpose without your prior consent.

When paying by credit card you’re account is not billed until your order ships, therefore your financial information is only kept long enough to complete this process, (typically 1-3 days for items in stock) upon which time your financial information will be properly discarded and erased from our database. Please consult with third party vendors (such as PayPal or Google) for privacy policy disclosures when using other (third party) sources of payment not affiliated with this website.

Contests or Surveys
On occasion we may provide you the opportunity to participate in contests or surveys on our site. If you participate, we will request certain personally identifiable information from you. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and you therefore have a choice whether or not to disclose this information. The requested information typically includes contact information (such as name, phone, email and shipping address), and demographic information (such as zip code).

We use this information to verify information, confirm eligibility, notify contest winners and award prizes, to monitor site traffic, or to send participants an email newsletter or other contest or survey related information.

Tell-A-Friend
We sincerely appreciate your choice to use our referral service to tell a friend about our site. If you choose to refer a friend, we will ask you for your friend’s name and email address which is used to automatically send your friend a one-time email inviting him or her to visit the site. Dianesa International, LLC stores this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email and tracking the success of our referral program.

Uses of Information
Cool Planet is a web-based environmental retail store established for the purpose of providing a one-stop-shop for organic, recycled, solar, natural, earth-friendly, fair-trade, and green products to the public for personal use. All personally identifiable information collected on our website may be stored by the parent company, Dianesa International, LLC for various internal uses such as marketing, product information referral to users, contest development and awarding, order processing, user verification, and other internal purposes as specified within the body of this policy.<

Dianesa International, LLC in conjunction with our hosting service, Verio (www.verio.com) collects non-personally identifiable information (such as website usage info) from visitors to this website for various purposes such as statistical analysis, performance optimization and promotional purposes.

Communications from the Site

We will occasionally send you information on products, services, special deals, and/or promotions which you can sign up for during the checkout process.

Customers also have the option to make payment for products ordered on our website through PayPal or Google Checkout, which is not affiliated with Cool Planet, in which case no financial information is exchanged, shared or stored between PayPal, Google and Dianesa International, LLC.
